Week 16- My Final Week

Week 16: May 8,9, 10 & 11

Hours: 19.25

Total Hours: 304

It's my final week as a strategic communication intern at TidalHealth. I spent my last week writing the Joint Venture article, requeted by TidalHealth CFO Chris Hall. For this article, I had to research existing information on TidalHealth Joint Ventures and attempt to reach out to multiple ventures for quotes. Although I was only able to get one interview from the previsou week, I made sure the article had all the necessary information requested. I also interviewd and wrote an article on Dr. Sophia Shakur, a neurosurgeon who started her medicine career as a TidalHealth volunteer in high school. My supervisor Roger Follebout wanted me to write a unqiue story highlighting a meical professional, and my interview with Dr. Shakur was great. One of the best parts about my internship is meeting with the medical staff and writing their stories and experiences. This was very rewarding.

Sample Work: I've provided all drafts of my Joint Venture and Dr. Sophia Shakur articles in the attached embeds. These project took several hours as research, email scheduling, interview and writing filled up most of my time.

As I end my internship log, on my last day as a TidalHealth intern, I cannot express how grateful I can to have had this opportunity. A huge thank you to Strategic Communications Director Roger Follebout, Strategic Communications Coordinator Jesssica Perry, and Executive Assistant and Senior Program Coordinator Megan Koester. They've improved my writing and my confidence, and I'm so lucky to have learned from such talented individuals. They've supported and encuoraged me, and I'm walking away from this internship as a stronger, more confident writer. Again, I cannot express how wonderful this experience has been, and I know I'll carry the lessnos I've learned with me throughout the rest of my career. Thank you TidalHealth!
