Week Ten

Week 10: March 27, 29, 29, 30 & April 1

Hours: 24

 Total Hours: 199.75

My final week of March was productive. I finished writing my feature story on Dr. Kerry Forrestal, delivered envelopes to the print shop and submitted my HealthFest social media photography to Jessica Perry and Roger Follebout (taken Week 9- view here). I also pitched and photographed social media photography for Donate Life. Donate Life is a day celebrating organ donors, and I offered to take photos of TidalHealth’s ceremony. I brought my Canon camera and iPhone, and shot plenty of photos, which were used later for TidalHealth’s social media posts. Yellow roses, green bracelets, and sunglasses were passed out to honor and remember organ donors and their impact. It made me proud to be a registered donor myself.

This week, I also served as a panelist for the Dr. David Burns’ Internship Zoom Session. I was happy to share my TidalHealth experience with incoming interns, and I hope my advice was helpful for them moving forward. My biggest piece of advice: Make every hour count; always offer to help and you’ll always learn something new.

I also pitched a photo assignment for the week, as TidalHealth supported the Run SBY event, with volunteers. I took an hour during the weekend to photograph the participants to use as potential social media photos.

Sample Work: Donate Life photography and Dr. Kerry Forrestal final article. There is a mini gallery of my photogrpahy for the Run SBY event as well.
