What I accomplished:
I settled into my internship by arranging my ID badge and computer passwords and program accounts. I also took Net Learning courses. Net Learning is a requirement at TidalHealth to ensure employees are safe, professional, and inclusive. I completed net learning over two days, and when I wasn’t completing net learning, I was helping Megan Koester with a newsletter announcement and magazine distribution. During distribution, we delivered the newest issue of the magazine to each floor of the hospital and discarded the old issues . While delivering, I got to see what kinds of services were offered on each floor and got familiar with the hospital’s campus and target market.
Sample Work: Here is the newsletter announcement I wrote, with the help of Megan Koester, this week. It's a reminder for Dr. John Mansueti's Feb. 9 presentations. Megan asked I look at the initial announcement she created to get the right information and verbiage for the new reminder announcement. She also I asked I find a quote to attach to the reminder, so patients receiving this newsletter could get to know Dr. Mansueti prior to the presentation. This took about two hours as I was watching video sources for quotes and constructing a newsletter announcement on Constant Contact for the first time.
