“Avery W. Hall Educational Center” image by Olivia Ballmann. This is where I go every week when I work with the strategic communications department.

Week Six: Feb 27, 28 & March 2, 2023

Hours: 21

Total Hours: 107.5

For week six, Megan Koester let me have full range of the March newsletter for the seniors program. I'd spent the previous week researching and brainstorming what to put in the new newsletter. I wrote and chose the content for this issue and I also got to  I got to choose the images for each topic. This week was also my final week to edit, finalize, and/or review my Healthfocus articles on TidalHealth MyChart and the collaboration between Salisbury University and TidalHealth for the Epic installation at the Richard A. Henson SIM Center. I'm pleased with how the final versions have turned, and I'm grateful to have Megan Koester's and Roger Follebout editing advice along the way.

During the week, I was also tasked with the social media posts for National Sleep Awareness Month. I spent a day researching the information and quotes TidalHealth had provided for the celebratory month and create social media blurbs to be used throughout the month March. I also wrote cultural observances to post onto social media (in the future). In addition to writing, I also attended the Black History Month Hospice Presentation.

Sample Work:  I’ve embedded a copy of my newsletter, Healthfocus final drafts ( SIM Center article & MyChart article magazine version included as well), March cultural observances and social media post drafts from this week. It was a busy week; I always had something to do. Most of my time, usually hours throughout the day, were spent writing and creating the following content:

HealthFocus, Spring 2023 - Pages 10 & 11 by Olivia Ballmann on Scribd
